I grew up on a farm in West Virginia and have always loved horses. At the age of 2, I started
riding my dad's draft horses which we used as a team. I had my own horse at the very young age of
6 and had the responsibility of taking care of it. When my husband was going to college at FSU, I needed to find something
to do so I decided to expand my love of horses and opened Live Oak Stables on Ox Bottom road in Tallahassee, FL where
we offered riding lessons and boarded horses. We were home to the Ochlockonee River Pony Club, the first national
pony club in the Tallahassee area. The Live Oak hounds, now out of Thomasville, GA, was established at our facility.
I now have my own facilitiy where I still board and give TLC "tender loving care" to horses who don't have a
home of their own and owners who don't have their own place. I invite you to come see our healthy happy horses for yourself.
